The Health Centre with Extension of Health Center at CAD building is a full-fledged OPD Complex managed by Two full time Residential Doctors, Six Hon. Visiting Medical Consultants namely Physician, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Radiologist, Ayurveda & Homeopathy Specialist assisted by Pharmacists & supporting staff. OPD services are available at the Health Center(Resident Medical Officers ) & Extension of Health Center at CAD building (Hon. Visiting Medical Consultants).

The Students and the Staff with their family members are benefited by the services of the Medical Unit.

The institute follows CS (MA) rules for medical treatment and Reimbursement for the staff members. The reimbursement of expenses towards medical treatment is done at the rates specified by CGHS. The sets of ready reference books namely Swamy’s Compilation of Medical Attendance Rules & Compilation of Order’s under Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) are available at Health Centre & Central Library.

Emergency Medical Services
Medical emergencies on campus are managed by the Residential Doctors on campus & Pharmacists from Boy's & Girl's hostels. Medicines are made available during the medical emergencies. Hospitalization if required is done at the Empanelled Hospitals of the Institute.

Ambulance services:
Very effective ambulance service on Dial 108 is available by Govt. of Gujarat. In addition to Dial 108, Ambulance services of following nearest Empanelled Hospitals are available.

Medical Insurance Policy for students:

Following are the salient features of the Medical Insurance Policy:

The insurance covers hospitalization expenses of up to Rs.50, 000/-.
Room rent limit is 2% & 4% (per day) of sum insured for Normal & ICU/ICCU respectively. Accordingly, the upper limit of room rent is Rs. 1,000/- per day for normal hospitalization and Rs. 2,000/- for ICU/ICCU treatment. Students can avail rooms within these specified upper limits of room rent. Students may note that the insurance claim covers only the expenses corresponding to these eligible room rent charges. In case a student opts for a hospital room having rent charges more than the above prescribed room rent limits, the difference of charges for the room rent as well as other corresponding higher charges shall be payable by the respective student only.
Students get cover from Day One with cashless hospitalization facilities in network hospitals of Insurance Company (including provisioning medical health cards for the insured students). Ambulance Charges are covered up to Rs. 3,000/- per claim.
Pre- existing diseases cover from Day One. COVID-19 is also covered under the
Pre & Post hospitalization expenditure is covered for 30 & 60 days respectively under the scope of policy.
Claim Intimation & Claim Documents Submission: -Intimation in 7 days from the date of admission & document submission within 30 days from the date of discharge.
Bills/Bills-cum-Receipts issued by hospitals: Printed as well as handwritten – on their letterheads for treatment given and/or medicines supplied shall be accepted as valid document. Only printed bill will be accepted as per The Group Medical Insurance Policy wordings.
