Events

1. HERTZ 6.0 February 2021: The annual departmental dest of the Electronics Engineering Department.
   Under Hertz 6.0, we organized the following events:
   1. Mock Placement: As the event name says it was the mock placement not the actual one. This event was organized to prepare participants for their placements and internships.
   2. Bomb defusal- this was the circuit building fun competition. Participants had to perform various tasks to collect the required components to build their circuit and then complete their circuit using the components collected within the time limit.
   3. Quiz Battles- A quiz was organized wherein participants had to conquer various regions on the Indian map by answering some tricky questions.
   4. Flip Flop- A live debating competition with a small twist “switch”, where participants have to speak for either side of the topic. Switching the sides depends totally on the moderator.
   5. Bits please- This was a timed coding competition to test your coding skills and challenge your fellow batchmates.
2. Sundeep Memorial Project Competition (SMPC) - April 2022: : We also had participants from other colleges of the city in this competition.
   The events that were organised were:
   1. CobWEB: This is a website development project competition wherein you will weave and customize your own website.
   2. Shark Tank: A Mock Startup project-based competition where you have to pitch in your innovative ideas and market your brand.
   Workshops and Webinars: Various times throughout the year
      
3. There were multiple workshops organized throughout the year.
   1. Orientation: we have conducted our orientation and ISF membership drive in the month of October. We also organized an informal talk for helping students to clarify their doubts.
   2. Aptigrind: A weekly online test series where participants were asked quantitative and reasoning questions so as to give exposure to real life aptitude tests conducted by companies.
   3. Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Workshop: This was a 2 day workshop conducted by TechCryptors, Mumbai - an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company, also in collaboration with Tirutsava Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati. The workshop was based on the functionalities of LA and AI in Python and R.
       4. Universal Object Interaction: This was an online interactive webinar conducted by TechCryptors, discussing this advanced topic of IoT.
   5. Expert Talk on “Mobility Management in 5G and beyond 5G networks”: This was an online discussion held by Dr. Akshay Jain, an alumnus of ECE Department, NIT Surat.
   6. Expert talk on "IOT Infrastructure and generic access and low cost nodes" by Dr. Suresh Dahiya, assistant professor of ECE department, NIT Surat.
