All that happens at Google DSC, revolves around 3 major things:

Learn about a range of technical topics and gain new skills through hands-on workshops, events, talks, and project-building activities - both online and in-person.

Apply new learnings to build great solutions for local problems. Advance your skills, career, and network. Give back to your community by helping others learn, too.

Events

1. GDSC Orientation : Google DSC, upholding its tradition of conducting an info session before the interviews, conducted an orientation session in the month of September after officially restarting in August. The information session witnessed a crowd of 100+ second yearites. The orientation session covered various domains ranging from web development to app development and from UI/UX to AI/ML. The session concluded on a good note with a fun and interactive game wherein each row competed with the others to name the maximum Google products they knew.
      
2. The Android Compose Camps : The Android Compose Camps were a series of 3 camps that GDSC SVNIT, GDSC IIT Surat and GDSC Galgotias University conducted in collaboration. The first session was based on introduction to Kotlin and creating a basic Compose App and at the end of the second and third sessions students were able to create a basic Dice game using Compose. There was a great participation of over 100+ students from the three colleges over the three sessions.
    
3. The Google Cloud Campaign : GDSC, SVNIT is a part of the Google Cloud Campaign under which 100 students of SVNIT get a chance to take part in the campaign and successfully get certified at the end of it. Under this campaign GDSC, SVNIT conducted two workshops to get students familiar with Cloud and an interactive session with a previously certified facilitator.
    
4. The Scripted Sundays : The first workshop under this banner is the ML- Roadmapped which was an introduction to ML as well as a hands-on-session where participants got to code themselves after just an hour of learning. They also took a fun quiz based on what they learnt and competed with the others to maintain the first position.
