About SVNIT SURAT
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat is one of the National Institutes of Technology in India set up with the objective to provide high quality technical education to meet the needs of the Nation in the present competitive world.
The Institute has been granted the status of ‘Institute of National Importance’ w.e.f. Aug. 15, 2007. At present, there are six undergraduate courses, seventeen postgraduate courses, and Ph.D. programmes in all disciplines of engineering and applied sciences.
The campus is spread over 250 hectares of lush green forest, which is midway between the Surat Domestic Airport and Surat Railway station, and is well connected by city buses and local trains.
